Friends - who would have thunk

Mike Caithamer (Chicago North Tour), John Downey (Chicago North/Milwaukee Tour Director)
 and Chris Johnson (Milwaukee Tour)

One of the most common responses golfer's make when joining the tour is to find others who have the same passion as they and make new friends.  Since 2003 I have seen strangers become close friends and travel to golfing destinations together.  It isn't just having someone who likes to play the game, it is about someone who has the same passion.

There is no better example of the friends made than Mike Caithamer (Chicago North Tour) and Chris Johnson (Milwaukee Tour).  Mike C. asked me to reach out to the member's of the Chicago North, South and Milwaukee tours in search of a roommate at Swan Lake Resort Major this past weekend.  Chris Johnson wasted no time in taking Mike up on his offer.

Often times you worry that personalities might clash, but this certainly was not the case.  It turned out that both have similar personalities and remind you of the characters in the movie "Dumb & Dumber."  Neither are dumb but they sure were fun to watch as the pair showcased their similarities when they both went shopping at the Swan Lake Pro Shop.

With shopping bags in hand, the two gave me warning regarding their attire for day two of the Major and requested a photo with me.  I think once you look at the picture, you will get an idea of the characters Mike and Chris are.  Seeing member's form new friendships like that of Chris and Mike is what the Golf Channel AM Tour is all about.
